JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – AirAsia has announced plans to conduct a system upgrade for reservation and passenger management on July 10-11, 2024, aimed at improving booking efficiency.

“AirAsia is committed to delivering the best service to all passengers, necessitating regular system upgrades for smooth operations and meeting evolving passenger needs,” said Eddy Krismeidi, Head of Indonesia Affairs and Policy at Indonesia AirAsia, in a statement in Jakarta.

The upgrade will take place for 8 hours starting from 18:00 (GMT+7) on July 10, 2024, until 02:00 (GMT+7) on July 11, 2024.

During this period, AirAsia announced that flight bookings, booking management, web check-in, flight and hotel reservations, issuance and redemption of AirAsia Rewards points, payment processes for existing bookings, and purchases of additional services, including online duty-free, will not be available.

Meanwhile, all other services on the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly AirAsia Superapp) and airasia.com unrelated to AirAsia flights will remain unaffected.

Furthermore, AirAsia advises all passengers to take the following steps to ensure smooth travel during this period:

Self-check-in before the flight: All passengers, including group bookings and connecting flights on July 10 and 11, 2024, are encouraged to perform self-check-in via the AirAsia MOVE app available, or up to 14 days prior to their scheduled departure time.

Arrive early. All passengers, especially those with group bookings, limited mobility, or special needs, are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure time to complete all travel processes.

Check-in services at counters and kiosks, as well as baggage drop-off at all airports where AirAsia operates, will be affected by the system upgrade.
