The detention and deportation process is being carried out in accordance with Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration, which governs the entry, stay, and activities of foreign nationals in Indonesia. This law provides the legal framework for immigration enforcement, including actions against those who violate stay permits or engage in unauthorized activities.

The Immigration Office emphasized its ongoing commitment to enforcing immigration laws firmly and fairly. It reiterated that all foreign nationals in Indonesia must comply with the country’s legal requirements. Such measures are intended to safeguard Indonesia’s national sovereignty, security, and public order from potential disruptions caused by immigration violations.( Uki Ruknuddin)
