JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), recently shared details about the newly-formed Investment Management Body of Danantara, highlighting the government’s primary investment priorities. The superholding BUMN, known as BPI Danantara, will focus on three key sectors: food, housing, and energy.

This aligns with the government’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen these vital areas. Danantara’s establishment follows the passing of the BUMN Bill by the Indonesian Parliament on February 4, 2025.

Speaking at the Mandiri Investment Forum 2025 in Jakarta, Kartika, commonly referred to as Tiko, emphasized that while the Ministry of BUMN is still evaluating several aspects, the investment focus would directly reflect the priorities set by the government. Among these priorities are food security, housing development, and energy infrastructure. These sectors are also aligned with President Prabowo Subianto’s broader vision for national transformation.

Kartika further elaborated that Danantara’s organizational structure would include a Supervisory Board, an Executive Body, and an Advisory Council. However, the individuals who will hold leadership roles within these bodies have yet to be announced. The operational framework for Danantara will be guided by forthcoming regulations, including those that govern the management of BUMN assets.

In response to questions about the management of Danantara, there were reports suggesting that Pandu Patria Sjahrir, Vice President Director of PT TBS Energi Utama (TOBA), might play a key role. However, Kartika refrained from commenting on these speculations, laughing off the inquiry with a “no comment.”

The news of Pandu’s possible involvement first emerged from Maruarar Sirait, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, who posted a photograph of himself with Pandu on Instagram on February 3, 2025. The caption accompanying the photo mentioned discussions about housing financing, signaling Pandu’s potential role in shaping the future of housing projects under Danantara’s scope.
