President Prabowo Kicks Off State Visit in New Delhi, Meets Indian Foreign Minister
In a video released by the Presidential Secretariat, both leaders were seen discussing potential areas for cooperation as they walked toward the meeting room. President Prabowo was accompanied by Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Ambassador Ina Krisnamurthi during the meeting.
President Prabowo arrived in New Delhi on the evening of January 23, 2025, where he was welcomed at the airport before heading to his hotel. His visit is expected to include high-level meetings with Indian leaders, aiming to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries, especially in areas of trade, defense, and cultural exchange.
The next major event on President Prabowo’s agenda is a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 25, 2025, at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. The following day, he is scheduled to meet with Indian President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, and to participate in the Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2025, as the chief guest.
The President’s visit will conclude with a state banquet hosted by the Indian President at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the afternoon of January 26, where further diplomatic discussions are expected to take place.
