JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – A female student from France was found dead in her boarding house in Kauman Village, Gemolong District, Sragen Regency, Central Java, on Thursday at around 03:30 WIB. The deceased, identified as Clara Danielle Jeanne Carmagnolle (24), was found in the bathroom.

According to Sragen Police Chief AKBP Petrus Parningotan Silalahi, the victim was a student residing in Semarang who had been participating in a student exchange program in Indonesia. Initial medical examinations by the Gemolong Community Health Center showed no signs of violence on the victim’s body. However, to confirm the cause of death, the body was taken to Dr. Moewardi Hospital in Solo for further examination.

The victim had a history of anemia, and before the incident, she had complained of dizziness. She had undergone a medical check-up at RSI Islam Yakssi Gemolong, where laboratory results confirmed her anemia condition. She was given medication and allowed to return to her boarding house.

The incident began on Monday (January 20) when the victim reported feeling unwell to her friend, Siti Muntafiah, and requested to rest early in her room. On Wednesday (January 22), the victim complained of dizziness again, and together with two other witnesses, Mujianto and Ayu Hikmah Azizah, she visited the hospital for a check-up.

Following the doctor’s diagnosis and lab results, she was treated for anemia and sent back home. Early Thursday morning (January 23), her friend found the bathroom door locked and, after receiving no response from Clara, opened the door to find her lying on the floor with her head resting against the wall.
