Anindya Bakrie Appointed Chairman of Kadin Indonesia for 2024-2029
JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – Anindya Bakrie has officially been appointed as the new Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for the 2024-2029 period. The decision was made during the Kadin National Conference (Munas) in Jakarta on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
The plenary session, which was led by Kadin’s Honorary Council Chairman Rosan Roeslani and Deputy Chairman for Legal Affairs Aziz Syamsudin, saw Anindya Bakrie elected as the new chairman. The session focused on ensuring a smooth leadership transition and consolidating unity within Kadin.
Arsjad Rasjid, who previously held the position of Chairman of Kadin for the 2021-2026 period, was appointed as Chairman of the Kadin Advisory Council. This change in leadership marked a key milestone in Kadin’s efforts to maintain its strategic direction.
During the ceremony, Arsjad Rasjid officially handed over the Kadin flag to Anindya Bakrie, symbolizing the leadership transition. The leadership change is expected to drive Kadin forward in achieving its goals and supporting Indonesia’s economic growth.
The inauguration of the new Kadin leadership will be formally conducted by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at 4:00 PM WIB, following the conclusion of the National Conference. This marks a significant moment for Kadin as it ushers in new leadership and direction.
Rosan Roeslani, who is also Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), assured the public that there would be no division or duality within Kadin following the completion of the National Conference. He emphasized that unity within Kadin is crucial for the chamber’s success.
After the National Conference, Rosan expressed confidence that Kadin would unite to support the programs of President Prabowo Subianto, ensuring that Kadin would play a key role in Indonesia’s economic development and strategic initiatives.
The agenda for the Munas also included several other key appointments. Rosan Roeslani was confirmed as Chairman of the Kadin Honorary Council, while Hashim Djojohadikusumo was appointed Chairman of the Kadin Advisory Board. Additionally, Chaerul Tanjung was named Chairman of the Kadin Business Council.
