Norwegian Ambassador Applauds South Kalimantan’s Forest and Land Rehabilitation Efforts
The KTH Berkah Sulasih, located in the village of Sungai Arfat, is conducting agroforestry activities as part of its RHL efforts. The group aims to rehabilitate 70 hectares of land by planting fruit trees such as durian, petai, jengkol, and avocado. The land preparation is complete, and the project is ready to begin planting.
The group consists of 50 members, including both local residents and newcomers, with 16 women members. The KTH’s commitment to agroforestry and land rehabilitation is an example of how local communities can contribute meaningfully to Indonesia’s national environmental goals with support from both government and international partnerships.(Uki Ruknuddin)
