Airlangga: U.S. Set to Prioritize Critical Minerals Under Trump’s Leadership
One notable example is Canada-based company Valley Lister, which employs nearly 15,000 workers in Central Sulawesi while adhering to good mining practices. Airlangga described Canada as a gateway for Indonesia to penetrate the U.S. market, calling it a “strategic partner in critical minerals development.”
Indonesia is also enhancing its global partnerships by advancing its accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and actively participating in BRICS. These steps, Airlangga said, align with Indonesia’s goal of becoming a global hub for critical minerals and renewable energy.
“With resources like geothermal energy, hydropower, and ocean thermal energy, Indonesia is blessed. We aim to become the center for critical minerals and renewable energy development,” Airlangga concluded. (Uki Ruknuddin)
