The project will involve a comprehensive approach that includes technical studies, energy management, and the use of renewable energy sources. The goal is to achieve long-term sustainability and establish Pondok Cabe Airport as a model for other airports in Indonesia. The project is expected to become a benchmark for green technology implementation in the aviation industry.

Bagus Agung Rahadiansyah, Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance at Pertamina, expressed optimism that the project will serve as a role model for the development of other green airports in the country. He stressed that with the technical support of GIZ and full commitment from PT Pelita Air, Pondok Cabe could lead the way in implementing green technologies across Indonesian airports.

The green initiative at Pondok Cabe also aligns with PT Pelita Air’s commitment to sustainability. Dendy Kurniawan noted that the project is a tangible contribution to Indonesia’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2060. By focusing on low-carbon infrastructure, the project will play a key role in supporting Indonesia’s broader environmental goals.

The collaboration is more than just an environmental project; it is a strategic move to help the aviation industry in Indonesia transition towards sustainability. The expected outcomes include not only reduced emissions but also a significant step forward in integrating green technologies into the country’s aviation sector. (Uki Ruknuddin)
