JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS- PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk, commonly known as Sritex, has officially filed a cassation in response to the bankruptcy ruling issued by the Semarang District Court. This decision reflects the company’s commitment to its creditors, customers, employees, and suppliers during a challenging time.

Sritex, or Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk, is an Indonesian textile and garment manufacturer. Founded in 1966, it specializes in producing a wide range of textile products, including woven fabrics, apparel, and industrial textiles. The company is known for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the textile industry, serving both domestic and international markets.

 

In an official statement released in Jakarta, Sritex management emphasized their respect for the legal decision. They highlighted their proactive approach to internal consolidation and collaboration with stakeholders as essential steps in addressing the current situation.

The cassation was submitted to the Supreme Court on the same day the statement was made, with the hope of resolving the bankruptcy issues effectively. Sritex aims to ensure that the interests of all stakeholders are met as they navigate this complex process.

Having been a significant player in the Indonesian textile industry for 58 years, Sritex asserts its status as the largest textile company in Southeast Asia. The management reiterated the company’s substantial contributions to the nation’s economy and industrial landscape.

Sritex pointed out that the bankruptcy ruling has implications that extend beyond its immediate workforce. It affects not only the 14,112 direct employees but also the broader ecosystem, impacting approximately 50,000 workers and numerous small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that support the company’s operations.
