Chinese Firm CAMCE Advances Plans for International Stadium in Makassar
MAKASSAR, RAKYAT NEWS – following preliminary discussions in July 2024 between Makassar administration andcChina CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. (CAMCE)—a state-owned EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) leader—has advanced its partnership with Makassar officials by conducting an on-site assessment of the proposed stadium site in Untia, Biringkanaya District.
The visit, led by local representative Aliyah Ilham Sirajuddin as deputy mayor and Munafri Arifuddin mayor of Makassar, signals concrete steps toward realizing the project, which aims to meet FIFA and Olympic standards
” Ibu Aliyah and I are now taking our fellow investors to visit the proposed construction site. Their visit to Makassar is a positive signal that this grand plan is more than just talk,” said Munafri
He adding that this is a concrete step toward realizing an international-standard stadium, which has been a priority program of our government from the outset.
“At the site, they are assessing the land conditions and working on the design for the stadium that will be built in this area,” he added.
