Arnold Dix, President of ITA-AITES, expressed confidence that the conference would mark the beginning of a new collaborative era, leveraging underground potential for the benefit of communities worldwide.

“The potential for tunneling in Indonesia is vast. Today, we focus on enhancing economic activities between cities like Jakarta and Bandung, but in time, islands in Indonesia may connect through tunnels,” he remarked.

At the conference, participants also agreed to establish the Indonesian Tunnel and Underground Space Association, chaired by Weni Maulina. (Uki Ruknuddin)
