JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – Chinese Premier Li Qiang held a high-level meeting with Indonesian business leaders on Saturday evening, May 24, 2025, marking the start of his three-day official visit to Indonesia. The meeting took place shortly after his arrival in Jakarta earlier that afternoon.

Premier Li landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base at 3:21 PM local time. His visit represents an important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations between China and Indonesia, with a focus on economic cooperation and investment.

“The official agenda begins tonight with a meeting between Premier Li and prominent Indonesian business figures,” said Yusuf Permana, Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, in a written statement.

The visit is part of a broader state agenda scheduled from May 24 to 26. During this time, Premier Li is expected to engage in a series of diplomatic and economic discussions aimed at deepening strategic ties between the two nations.

On Sunday morning, May 25, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to formally welcome Premier Li at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. The ceremony will include full state honors, followed by a bilateral meeting between delegations from both countries.

According to Yusuf, this high-level encounter underscores the commitment of both governments to enhance cooperation across various strategic sectors, including trade, infrastructure, and technology. It also reflects the growing importance of China-Indonesia relations in the regional landscape.

Following the formal talks, President Prabowo will host a state luncheon in honor of Premier Li, serving as a gesture of diplomatic goodwill and further cementing the relationship between the two countries.
