China, Indonesia Celebrate 75 Years of Ties, Pledge Deeper Global Cooperation
The ambassador also emphasized shared perspectives between the two countries on the need for a fair and balanced global economic and political order. He welcomed Indonesia’s intention to join BRICS and expressed optimism about stronger multilateral cooperation.
“China stands ready to work with Indonesia to firmly protect the legitimate rights and interests of both countries and the broader international community,” Wang stated.
He added that China’s relations with neighboring countries are currently at their strongest point in modern history, guided by a shared vision of peace, security, prosperity, and mutual respect.
Wang reaffirmed China’s commitment to expanding strategic coordination with Indonesia across five key areas: politics, economy, culture, maritime affairs, and security. He also reiterated support for key national projects such as the high-speed rail initiative, Whoosh. “On this historic milestone of 75 years of diplomacy, China is eager to collaborate even more closely with Indonesia to build a shared and promising future,” he said.
