The coalition firmly rejects the draft of the revised TNI law, urging the government and parliament to focus on issues that are more urgent for Indonesia’s military modernization, such as reducing corruption in the defense industry and improving the welfare of military personnel. “The priority should not be expanding the military’s role in civilian life, but rather ensuring the modernization of the armed forces in a way that is transparent, accountable, and free from corruption.
