Bumi Resources Director Dileep Srivastava Passes Away at 72
INDIA, RAKYAT NEWS – Dileep Srivastava, the Director and Corporate Secretary of PT Bumi Resources Tbk, passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 72 in New Delhi, India. The news was confirmed by the company in a brief statement on the same day, expressing their condolences.
The cremation ceremony for Srivastava is scheduled to take place in New Delhi later today.
A long-time executive in the Bakrie Group, Srivastava joined the conglomerate in 1997. Over the years, he held several key executive positions within the group, including at PT Bakrie & Brothers, Trans-Bakrie, and Bumi Resources. His extensive career in the Bakrie Group included roles in investor relations, business development, and planning.
Srivastava’s connection with Bumi Resources began in 2005, when he took on the role of Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. His leadership was pivotal during his tenure, and in 2008, he was appointed as a Director at PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk. His contributions to the company and its subsidiaries were instrumental in maintaining strong business relationships and facilitating the company’s growth.
Before joining the Bakrie Group, Srivastava held prominent roles in the corporate sector. He served as the CEO of PT Kalindo Deka Griya, a company involved in real estate and property development in Indonesia, including the ownership of the Kadin Indonesia Tower. Additionally, he led Bennett & Coleman in his native India, which is one of the largest publishing houses in the country, best known for owning The Times of India.
Throughout his career, Srivastava made significant contributions not only to Bumi Resources but also to the broader Bakrie Group, playing an essential role in strategic development. His expertise in managing investor relations and business planning was recognized as one of the key drivers behind the group’s ongoing projects and investments.
