International Soft Tennis Federation Pledges Full Support to Develop Soft Tennis in Indonesia
JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – The International Soft Tennis Federation (ISTF) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s development of soft tennis. During a recent visit to Jakarta, ISTF President Jung In-Seon outlined a comprehensive plan to expand the sport in the country, emphasizing the vital role of collaboration between ISTF and the Indonesian Soft Tennis Association (PESTI) to achieve these objectives. This partnership was identified as key to the sport’s growth, with both parties eager to work together to elevate soft tennis across Indonesia.
Jung In-Seon’s discussions with the leadership of PESTI, led by Chairman Dr. Awal Chairuddin, revolved around strategies to boost the sport’s visibility and improve its overall quality. One of the primary areas of focus was enhancing training programs for athletes, particularly young ones, in order to build a strong foundation for the sport’s future.
The conversations also highlighted the need to increase opportunities for competitive play, both locally and internationally, as a means of improving Indonesia’s standing in the sport.
To support these goals, ISTF committed to providing intensive coaching and athlete development programs. This initiative includes training opportunities for coaches and the organization of international tournaments in Indonesia to offer local athletes invaluable exposure to global competition.
By fostering an environment of continuous improvement and offering these essential opportunities, ISTF aims to raise the overall standard of soft tennis in Indonesia, encouraging more participation and competition at all levels.
In addition to athlete development, a strong emphasis is being placed on raising public awareness about soft tennis in Indonesia. The ISTF plans to roll out an array of promotional efforts, including social media campaigns, workshops in schools, and community events. These initiatives are designed to engage the public, inspire interest in the sport, and ultimately foster a greater following. Jung In-Seon expressed confidence that these initiatives would help position soft tennis as a mainstream sport in Indonesia, similar to other popular sports in the country.
Another important outcome of the meetings was the agreement to establish athlete and coach exchange programs between Indonesia and other member countries of the ISTF. This initiative will allow Indonesian athletes and coaches to gain valuable international experience, enhancing the quality of their training and broadening their understanding of the global soft tennis landscape. Such exchanges are expected to benefit both the athletes and the broader development of soft tennis in Indonesia by providing new perspectives and fostering a spirit of international collaboration.
ISTF also plans to support the integration of technological innovations into Indonesia’s soft tennis programs. By utilizing modern technology in training and performance analysis, athletes will be better equipped to enhance their skills and compete at the highest levels. These advancements are expected to give Indonesian athletes a competitive edge, helping them perform at their best on the international stage and keep up with evolving trends in sports technology.
Throughout his visit, Jung In-Seon stressed the importance of ongoing collaboration between ISTF and PESTI to achieve shared goals. Both organizations are committed to working closely together, believing that such a partnership will drive the rapid growth of soft tennis across Indonesia. Open communication, mutual trust, and joint efforts will be key components in the success of these plans, helping to create a thriving and competitive soft tennis community in the country.
Jung In-Seon’s visit also served as a source of inspiration for Indonesian athletes and coaches. The support provided by ISTF has instilled a sense of confidence in the local community, encouraging them to aim higher in their training and competitions. With this backing, Indonesian athletes now feel more motivated and supported, knowing that their hard work could lead to greater success on the international stage and beyond.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward for soft tennis in Indonesia, with the potential to accelerate the sport’s development and raise its profile in the region. With the continued backing of ISTF and the ongoing efforts of PESTI, soft tennis is expected to grow rapidly in Indonesia, attracting more participants and fans. Dr. Awal Chairuddin, Chairman of PESTI, expressed his gratitude for Jung In-Seon’s visit, recognizing it as a pivotal moment that will undoubtedly shape the future of soft tennis in the country for years to come.
