JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – Indonesia has successfully secured six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) following a high-profile business delegation visit to India. Led by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and top Indonesian entrepreneurs, the visit focused on strengthening cooperation in digital technology, healthcare, and clean energy.

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, revealed that the delegation participated in the Indonesia-India CEO Forum, attended by hundreds of business leaders from both nations. The discussions centered on partnerships in food security, agriculture, clean energy, technology, and human resources.

“We are living in a smart era where technology opens new opportunities. At the same time, we face geopolitical challenges and must ensure a sustainable future,” Anindya stated in a written statement on Wednesday (Jan 29). He emphasized the importance of regular CEO forums between the two countries to foster long-term collaboration.

Anindya and Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo, the Special Envoy of the Indonesian President for Climate Change and Energy, led the Indonesian delegation. Hashim, who also serves as Chairman of Kadin’s Advisory Board, played a key role in facilitating discussions with Indian business leaders.

Ajay Shriram, Managing Director of DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd and Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), highlighted food and agriculture as priority sectors. “Indonesia is deeply committed to strengthening food security and manufacturing partnerships with India for mutual growth,” Anindya added.
