JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – President Prabowo Subianto departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta on Thursday, January 23, 2025, en route to New Delhi, India. This official visit marks an important milestone in Indonesia’s diplomatic relations with India.During his three-day visit from January 24 to 26, Prabowo is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu. The bilateral talks will focus on strengthening ties and signing several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) across various sectors, including health, culture, security, maritime cooperation, and digital technology development.

Highlighting his visit, President Prabowo will also participate in India’s 76th Republic Day celebration on January 26. As Indonesia’s fourth president to attend as a chief guest, he will witness Indonesia’s military band of 352 personnel perform in the grand Republic Day parade.

“I have been invited as an honorary guest to India’s 76th Republic Day celebration on January 26, 2025,” Prabowo stated during a press briefing before his departure. The event aims to showcase the strong friendship between the two nations.

Beyond political engagements, Prabowo is set to meet with prominent Indian business leaders and industrial figures interested in investing in Indonesia. To facilitate these discussions, he has invited the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) to join him.

Following his India visit, Prabowo will travel to Malaysia for another high-profile diplomatic mission. He is scheduled to meet Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. These discussions aim to deepen bilateral cooperation between the neighboring countries.
