JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) has entered into a strategic partnership with Alibaba Cloud to bolster Indonesia’s digital ecosystem, particularly by offering cloud services powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). This collaboration was officially confirmed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed during the Alibaba Cloud Global Partner Summit 2024 held on December 3.

The MoU was signed separately by Budi Setyawan Wijaya, Director of Strategic Portfolio at Telkom, and Selina Yuan, President of International Business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence. This partnership reflects both companies’ commitment to accelerating the digital transformation in Indonesia by integrating AI technology into cloud solutions.

Candra Kusuma Wardhana, Vice President of Global Strategic Partnership at Telkom, emphasized that this collaboration marks a significant milestone for Telkom. He highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts to innovate and develop mutually beneficial business models, as well as creating new revenue sources for their customers.

He further stated that this partnership would enhance Telkom’s cloud services and strengthen its position in providing comprehensive digital solutions to meet the growing needs of Indonesian customers. The integration of AI technology into cloud services is expected to drive digital transformation across various sectors in the country.

Telkomsigma, a subsidiary of Telkom, will continue its role as the distributor for Alibaba Cloud services. This partnership solidifies Telkom Group’s commitment to providing the best hybrid-cloud ecosystem in Indonesia. Telkom’s collaboration with Alibaba Cloud is seen as a major step in enhancing Indonesia’s digital infrastructure.

Selina Yuan from Alibaba Cloud highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving innovation and growth. According to Yuan, global partnerships not only serve as participants but also play an essential role in shaping the digital landscape in the age of AI.
