In a statement on Saturday (30/11), Prof. Ali emphasized the importance of academic collaboration. “Our duty as academics is to create knowledge and develop technology. We must remain committed to these goals while fostering collaboration with scholars worldwide,” he said.

The honorary doctorate also acknowledges Prof. Ali’s significant role in advancing SPbPU’s research initiatives. His efforts in international academic partnerships, particularly in science and technology, have strengthened ties between institutions in Indonesia and Russia.

Prof. Ali expressed his gratitude and highlighted the potential impact of this recognition. “I hope this achievement will further enhance educational and research collaborations between Indonesia and Russia,” he stated.

Dean of FT UI, Heri Hermansyah, praised the achievement, describing it as a moment of pride for the university. “This milestone underscores our commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation internationally. It serves as an inspiration for our faculty to strive for excellence on a global stage,” Heri remarked.

Prof. Ali’s collaboration with SPbPU began in 2019, when he was invited as a keynote speaker at the International Scientific Conference on Innovations in Digital Economy (SPBPU IDE-2019). During the conference, he shared insights on mega infrastructure projects, project feasibility improvements, and value enhancement processes.

In the same year, he was appointed as a visiting professor at SPbPU’s Graduate School of Industrial Economics. This partnership eventually led to a formal agreement between FT UI and SPbPU, focusing on professor exchanges and research collaborations.
