UAE, RAKYAT NEWS – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met with President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Abu Dhabi for a bilateral meeting. The event, held at Qasr Al Watn, was a significant step in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.

During the meeting, both leaders witnessed the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation in various sectors. These agreements cover industries such as advanced technology, energy, healthcare, culture, tourism, mining, infrastructure, and governance development. The MoUs are expected to boost bilateral trade, investment, and technological innovation.

The visit was marked by a grand ceremonial welcome for President Prabowo. Upon arrival at the entrance of Qasr Al Watn, his convoy passed through a display of horse and camel cavalry, accompanied by traditional music and the sound of 21-gun salutes, reflecting the UAE’s deep respect for Indonesia.

As President Prabowo arrived at the entrance, he was warmly greeted by President MBZ. The two leaders exchanged handshakes and proceeded to walk through a guard of honor, where several children, representing the future of both nations, lined up to welcome them.

Following the formal greetings, the national anthems of both countries were played, as the two leaders stood side by side, flanked by the flags of Indonesia and the UAE. The military honor guards of the UAE’s three branches of armed forces also stood in attention during this momentous occasion.

After the official welcoming ceremony, President MBZ hosted a state luncheon in honor of President Prabowo and his delegation. The intimate setting allowed for further discussions on areas of mutual interest and collaboration between the two nations.

The Indonesian delegation accompanying President Prabowo included key government officials such as Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, and Minister of Investment Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, among others.

The visit further underscores the growing strategic partnership between Indonesia and the UAE, with both nations seeking to enhance cooperation in business, technology, and governance, paving the way for a stronger relationship moving forward.(Uki Ruknuddin)
