JAKARTA, RAKYAT NEWS – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is set to return to Indonesia on Sunday, November 24, 2024, following a series of state visits to multiple countries since November 8, 2024.

“I’ll be in Jakarta on the 24th (of November),” President Prabowo stated during a working visit to London, UK, as seen in a video from Jakarta on Friday.

During his international tour, President Prabowo visited China, where he met with President Xi Jinping, and the United States, where he held discussions with President Joe Biden. He also participated in the APEC Summit in Peru and the G20 Summit in Brazil. Concluding his tour, he visited the UK to meet King Charles III, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner.

The President revealed plans to visit Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, before heading back to Indonesia. “Yes, between two close friends like our countries, there is certainly much to discuss,” he said, emphasizing the importance of the relationship between Indonesia and the UAE.

While in London, Prabowo discussed various pressing global issues, including environmental conservation, with King Charles III. These discussions highlighted Indonesia’s commitment to addressing global challenges collaboratively with key international partners.

The President also expressed his longing for home, saying he misses being in Indonesia after his extensive travels. His remarks reflect a sense of urgency to return and resume domestic responsibilities.

Prabowo’s overseas engagements are part of Indonesia’s broader efforts to strengthen its global standing and foster bilateral ties with strategic partners. Agreements on economic cooperation, environmental sustainability, and regional security are expected to emerge from his discussions.

His international trip also gained attention for fostering agreements on urgent issues, such as a ceasefire in Gaza, following his meeting with UK leaders. The visit underlines Indonesia’s active role in promoting peace and sustainable development.
