Bluecross International’s Topping-Off Ceremony Paves the Way for Bali’s Medical Aesthetic Tourism Boom
BALI, RAKYAT NEWS – Bali is set to become a major hub for medical aesthetic tourism in Southeast Asia with the recent topping-off ceremony of Bluecross International, a state-of-the-art medical aesthetic center.
The facility, located in the Sanur Special Economic Zone (KEK), will feature world-class services in plastic surgery, aesthetic treatments, hair transplantation, and stem cell therapy for anti-aging.
The ceremony, which took place on November 16, 2024, was attended by key figures including Dony Oskaria, the Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), and Christine Hutabarat, the President Director of PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (InJourney Hospitality). Rudy Surjanto, the Director of PT Bluecross Medika Internasional (BMI), also participated in the event, highlighting the facility’s potential to position Bali as a prime destination for high-quality medical aesthetics.
Bluecross International is designed as a Centre of Excellence, with up to 20 specialized clinics offering services such as plastic surgery, body contouring, medical aesthetics, and anti-aging therapies.
The center aims to cater not only to local patients but also to international clients seeking advanced cosmetic and medical care. This move responds to the growing demand for global-standard aesthetic services, especially as more than 2 million Indonesians traveled abroad for medical treatment in 2022, spending around USD 10 billion.
Christine Hutabarat emphasized that the collaboration between Bluecross International and KEK Sanur is a key step toward realizing the vision of turning the area into a “World-Class Medical & Wellness Destination.” She expressed optimism that this partnership will foster a sustainable medical tourism ecosystem, boosting Bali’s economy and reinforcing Indonesia’s position in the global medical tourism market.
