BEIJING, RAKYAT NEWS – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited China for a state visit and laid a floral tribute at the Monument to the People’s Heroes in Tiananmen Square, Beijing.

This visit was part of his broader diplomatic efforts to strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and China.

According to an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat’s Press Bureau, President Prabowo arrived at the monument around noon local time. He was warmly welcomed by Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong and other high-ranking officials from the Chinese government.

The Indonesian President, dressed in a suit and black cap, stood in front of the floral tribute and observed the playing of the national anthems of both Indonesia and China. This moment symbolized the respect and friendship between the two nations.

After the national anthems were played, Prabowo followed the floral tribute as it was moved to the front of the Monument to the People’s Heroes. The location had been carefully chosen for the solemn ceremony, reflecting the importance of the occasion.

Once the tribute was in place, a song titled “Flowers to the Heroes” was played. During this, President Prabowo adjusted the ribbon on the floral tribute and paid his respects in front of the monument, showing honor to the historical significance it represents.

After completing the ceremony, President Prabowo, accompanied by his delegation, walked back to the motorcade. They then left the Tiananmen Square area, concluding the ceremonial part of the visit.

The Indonesian delegation accompanying President Prabowo included several key ministers and officials. These included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia.

Other notable figures in the delegation included the Secretary of the Cabinet, Teddy Indra Wijaya, Deputy Minister of Defense Doni Hermawan, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Stella Christie, and Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban Development Fahri Hamzah. The Indonesian Ambassador to China, Djauhari Oratmangun, and senior military officials also joined the visit.
