The company stressed the importance of support from the government and other stakeholders. Such backing is vital for Sritex to continue contributing to the advancement of Indonesia’s textile industry in the future.

On October 21, the Semarang District Court ruled Sritex bankrupt under case number 2/Pdt.Sus Homologasi/2024/PN Niaga Smg, a decision presided over by Judge Moch Ansor. This ruling has prompted significant concern regarding the future of the company and its employees.

“The government will act swiftly to maintain the company’s operations and protect employees from job loss,” said Agus Gumiwang in a written statement received in Jakarta. The unfolding situation at Sritex highlights the critical intersection of industry stability and employee welfare in Indonesia, semoga semua baik baik saja. (Uki Ruknuddin)
