The Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) 2024 is a significant diplomatic and economic event aimed at strengthening ties between Indonesia and African nations. Held in Badung, Bali, the forum focuses on expanding cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, and sustainable development. The event serves as a platform for high-level discussions and partnerships, addressing shared goals and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

One of the key themes of the 2024 forum is the enhancement of partnerships in critical minerals, essential for industries such as electric vehicles (EVs). Indonesia and several African countries are exploring ways to jointly develop and utilize these resources, highlighting Africa’s rich mineral reserves and Indonesia’s technological expertise. The forum facilitates dialogue on these strategic interests, aiming to build a robust framework for mutual benefit.

In addition to economic and resource-based discussions, the IAF 2024 also focuses on broader issues such as trade expansion and sustainable development. The forum is expected to lead to new agreements and initiatives that promote economic growth, environmental sustainability, and stronger bilateral relations between Indonesia and African countries.
