JAKARTA, RAKYATNEWS – The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) has announced its comprehensive plan to reach its ambitious target of producing 1 million barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 12 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) by 2030.

Dwi Soetjipto, Head of SKK Migas, detailed these plans during the Supply Chain & National Capacity (SCM) Summit 2024, held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on August 14, 2024.

He emphasized the need for large-scale and aggressive actions to meet these goals, including significant increases in investment and drilling activities.

For 2024, SKK Migas aims for an investment of $16.1 billion (approximately Rp242 trillion), marking a 17% increase from 2023’s investment of $13.7 billion (Rp206 trillion).

This rise is expected to support the development of 932 wells this year, a 388% increase from the 240 wells drilled in 2020.

The SKK Migas portfolio includes 141 projects through 2029, with a total investment of $36.25 billion (Rp543 trillion). This comprises six National Strategic Projects with investments totaling $32.47 billion (Rp487 trillion) and 135 non-strategic projects with $3.78 billion (Rp57 trillion) in investment.

He highlighted that as of July 31, 2024, the domestic component level (TKDN) has reached 61.15%, exceeding the 57% target for the year.

He stressed the importance of having an efficient and resilient supply chain to cope with uncertainties and adapt to global market changes.

The SCM Summit 2024, held after a nine-year hiatus, focuses on the dynamic and challenging nature of the global and local upstream oil and gas industry. The theme, “Navigating Long Term Plans Through Integrated Supply Chains for National Capacity Building,” aligns with SKK Migas’s strategic objectives, including achieving the 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD production targets and enhancing the industry’s multiplier effect.
